Outback Station Governess/ Educator Needed, POSITION FILLED



Our family is searching for a Governess / Educator to help educate our daughters who are enrolled at Broken Hill School of the Air. In 2019 they will be in Year 2 and Kindergarten (first year of full time primary school).

You will need to be honest, super organised and a great communicator who can demonstrate enthusiasm, warmth and a passion for working with children.

The Position

The school classroom is a large well equipped space. You will need to show how you can use different types of technology, as this is the primary way of communicating with the school.

This is a live in position on our family owned sheep and cattle station, located 300 km north of Broken Hill. You will have separate accommodation to the main house and your own newly renovated bedroom and an attractive salary package.


This position is facilitated through Far West In Home Care, so there are several essential criteria to comply with. Please email to find out the exact requirements. Minimum age is 18.


You will implement and adapt the set work as sent by the school teachers to our home school environment. There are satellite lessons each day to complement the program. All work needs to be completed and feedback provided to teacher on a weekly basis via computer.
